Phase 1 (2013)
Phase 1 of the Christ the Reconciler Development project was to acquire the land and finish out the interior of the ministry center.
This picture was taken on November 21, 2013 - the day we closed on the land in Elgin and got the key!
Phase 2 (2017)
Phase 2 was construction of a 9600 sq ft warehouse for Cielo, the bottled water business that is the economic engine for Christ the Reconciler.
Another important part of Phase 2 was for CTR (the non-profit) to purchase the Ministry center from an LLC who had made the original land purchase. (Note that the LLC still owns the land where the houses are planned for Phase 3.)
Phase 3 (2027?)
In Phase 3, the non-profit will purchase the remaining land from the LLC, and own all 16 acres. We will then build the first set of houses and the prayer chapel! Plus all the necessary roads and infrastructure, of course. Shared community spaces include a lap pool for exercise, pickleball courts, and a maker space. We plan to be as water-independent and energy-independent as possible. See below for some lovely visualizations of Phase 3 once completed!
Phase 4
Phase 4 will see the future completion of the second set of houses, on the south side of the land.
